Unity
A flexible and multi-functional space

Gironde (33), France
A contemporary and timeless architecture...
The Bastide Niel ZAC project, on the right bank of the Garonne, is an atypical urban project. A whole urban composition (offices, housing, shops, schools) and a division by blocks have been designed from former barracks on 35 hectares to facilitate optimal sunlight and natural ventilation along the streets.
The objective of this urban project, which was developed by Winy Maas of the MVRDV agency and commissioned by Bordeaux Metropole, is to create a dense, intimate, mixed, bright and green city centre district.
... which encourages exchanges and collaborative work
Unity offers open, collaborative workspaces, bright thanks to the sloping sides and the mezzanines, adapted to the needs of users and companies. It provides a global answer to changes in usage, thanks to the rental solutions and flexible arrangements offered by Walter.
The premises have sloping sides and large openings to provide very bright spaces, making the concept modular, scalable and even reversible. Finally, this constraint of form ensures energy optimisation: maximum sunshine, a photovoltaic plant producing 25,000 kW/h and the NF Effinergie + tertiary building label.
